Optical measurements

We use optical measuring systems developed by GOM to control forms and dimensions of complete objects or their individual parts. The measured volume can be adjusted raging from millimetres to metres. The accuracy of measurements can reach up to 0.005 mm (5µm), depending on the object being observed. Read more…

Optical measurements of 3D coordinate are used in the same way as classical 3-coordinate measuring devices. The object is recorded using a high resolution camera and the recorded images are processed using a software package that accurately determines 3D coordinates of selected points. Read more…

If further processing, production preparation or analysis requires a virtual CAD model based on an existing object, we use reconstruction engineering procedures. Read more…

The system for optical measurements of deformations and shifts enables us to compare different static versions of the same product. This method is based on reference marks and calculations of shifts and deformations. The results of the analysis are clearly presented in different colours and using vectors. Read more…

Important factors in the development of products are the dimensioning of components, exact determination of material characteristics and use of new materials. The system for optical measurement of deformations is ideal for measurements with high temporary and local resolution and a high accuracy of 3D deformations and shifts in actual components and samples of material.
